Lapel service flag Pins: Service pins will be worn on the left collar, if members were  in more than one service the senior service will be on the right junior on the left.

Unity Pins: The pins are in the shape of the continent of Africa, will be worn over the “V” in NABVETS on the left side of all shirts, and dress jackets.

Members Ball cap: When worn, the NABVET cap brim will be worn smartly, STRAIGHT OR ANGLED SLIGHTLY DOWN. At no time will caps be worn sideways or backwards.

The T-shirt will have the NABVET logo on the front and seal on the back, it can be worn either with tail bottom inside or outside the trousers/ pants. At no time will it be worn, in an unserviceable condition i.e.; torn or with a frayed neck.

Because the windbreaker is made of water resistant material No devices are  authorized to be attached, silk screening of the NABVETS logo on the front left of the jacket and the NABVET seal adhered to the back.

It is the NABVETS equivalent of a military Service “A” uniform but consists, of a Three (3) piece suit, Black Botany 500 styled jacket, Gold long sleeve shirt, black and gold necktie (black and gold scarf for females) and black slacks with a black vest.

The Walking suit is a two-piece suit, with Ascot/Dickey are usually worn in the afternoon or at less business type affairs, the “French cuff” adds a touch sophistication as they were once considered to be more formal than button cuffs NABVETS adopted this unique destination as a reminder of chivalry. The Beret is Mandatory wear with the walking suits.  Service pins will be worn on each collar and the unity pin adhered above NABVET logo “V” at the pocket. The Jacket will not be tucked in nor additional shirt worn underneath.

BLACK  2 PIECE SUIT    ( COAT &  ONE TROUSERS  OR  ONE SKIRT ) Service pins will be worn on each lapel, (if the wearer was in more than one service the senior service will be displayed on the right lapel) The Unity pin will be placed above the handkerchief and centered above the pocket.

There are only one authorized design of name plate Gold w/Black lettering and (3) sizes of name plates the smallest of the three are the ladies (which are only size) for the working uniform. Each will be adhered to the right side of the shirt or jacket online with the NABVETS logo.
