Youth Volunteer Job Description
Title: Youth Volunteer
Reports to: Committee
Hours: 10-12 hours/month
Timeline: August-October 2011
Duties:
· Attend and participate in planning meetings held once a month with additional meetings held just before event.
· Assist with distributing flyers and/or any marketing materials for event.
· Sign up for specific duties on the day of the event.
· Work with Mentor on their assignment(s) before and during the event.
Desired Qualities:
· Reliable and responsible.
· Able to work with a team and independently.
· Permission slip signed by a guardian.
· Interest in learning about women’s health and organizing events.
Benefits to Volunteer:
· Increased knowledge of organizing community events.
· Network of contacts to use as references.
· Experience in a health education/promotion event.
· Experience in providing outreach to the community.
