Orginally from Dayton, Ohio, Karol, her husband James and their three children moved to Washington State in 1987. In June, Karol will celebrate her 23rd year as an employee at the American Lake Division of the VA Puget Sound Health Care System, Karol Brown Registered Dietitian and currently the Program Manager for the MOVE! Weight Management Program for Veterans. In the community working with the Bethlehem Baptist Church Health Ministry, Karol coordinated the annual Women of Color Cancer and Health Awareness Day held the second Saturday in October. Karol is also a professional storyteller; she and James present a historical portrayal of Harriet Tubman.
